About the Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship
The Jimmy Rane Foundation was established in 2000; however, its mission – “it’s about giving something back” – was instilled in our founder, Jimmy Rane, long before. Jimmy’s father, Tony Rane, taught him the importance of helping those in need, a guiding principle Jimmy has carried throughout his life.
In 2002, the first Jimmy Rane Foundation scholarship was awarded, and since then, close to 700 bright and driven students have been impacted by the Foundation through a monetary scholarship award. The Jimmy Rane Foundation scholarship award amount ranges from $500 to $5,000 per year based on the financial needs of the student, and the award may be renewed annually for a maximum of four academic years (or eight semesters) if all requirements are fulfilled.
Jimmy Rane hopes that, for many years to come, the Foundation will continue to empower more students to pursue their dreams of a college education and that one day, the Foundation scholars will “give something back” to the next generation. Jimmy’s wish is already becoming a reality, with scholars like 2018 recipient Lexi Stewart making lasting impacts in their communities.
