2024 Jimmy Rane Charity Golf Tournament Event

The 2024 Jimmy Rane Charity Golf Tournament & Banquet will be held on May 16th and 17th.

We are excited to announce that Coach Nick Saban will serve as Keynote Speaker for the 24th Annual Jimmy Rane Charity Golf Tournament. Coach Saban’s retirement at the conclusion of the 2023 season was the end of an era like no other. A nine-time National Coach of the Year, he achieved resounding success as a head coach and earned a reputation as an outstanding tactician, leader, organizer, and motivator. In his 28 seasons as a collegiate head coach, Coach Saban compiled a 297-71-1 (.806) record, including a 206-29 (.877) mark in Tuscaloosa. His teams won 19 bowl/CFP games and 11 SEC titles (nine at Alabama, two at LSU) to go along with seven national championships (six at Alabama and one at LSU).

In Saban’s six national championship seasons at Alabama, his teams went 21-2 against top-10 opponents, and, from 2008 to 2023, the Crimson Tide was 35-12 overall against top-10 teams. Alabama has also been ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Poll for at least one week for 14 straight years, which broke the record of seven established by Miami (1986-92). In addition, Alabama produced 123 NFL Draft picks during the Saban era, more than any other program since 2009.

About the event

Since its first event in 2001, the Jimmy Rane Charity Golf Tournament has earned a reputation as an action-packed two days of good times, great athletes, quality golf and giving back. It’s a fun and unique opportunity to partner with the best of the best in basketball and football, as well as celebrities from TV and film, for a worthwhile cause. The event includes a silent auction, reception and scholarship awards banquet featuring an accomplished guest speaker. Some of our past speakers have included a decorated Navy SEAL and #1 New York Times best-selling author of Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell, ESPN Analyst Kirk Herbstreit, NFL’s Terry Bradshaw, MVP Peyton Manning, and Hall of Fame Coach Don Shula. The event also involves a round of golf with a celebrity athlete.

The annual tournament is our single biggest fundraiser, and with its success, the Jimmy Rane Foundation has been able to provide 620 college scholarships to deserving students throughout the years, and we hope to provide many more scholarships in the years to come.
